The TravelOwl Story

 

TravelOwl took five years to move from the drawing board, into real (virtual) life! We originally intended to launch a special offer site but over the course of the years the internet and TravelOwl has changed. As technology progressed and our knowledge of the online community developed we decided that in late 2006 the time was righ to launch a user-generated content community with the additional information and sharing opportunities that you, the user is looking for from a travel site, this is where you are now.

Whilst TravelOwl has been developing, our parent company Orbital Marketing Services Group Ltd. (Registered in England and Wales, Registration Number 01471252, Registered Address; Orbital Park, Ashford, Kent, TN24 0GA) has been incredibly busy.  Orbital Marketing Services has been working with the UK Travel Industry for over thirty years as it started life as BP Travel Trade Services Ltd, providing a mailing and brochure distribution service for the UK travel industry. Following a number of acquisitions and developments the BP Travel Trade Services name and identity changed to Orbital Marketing Services Group Ltd in 2001. This change reflected the broader range of services that were now available with BP Travel Marketing Services becoming a major part of the Orbital Group. Orbital is now a diverse organisation specialising in the supply of marketing communication services to a variety of market sectors. TravelOwl is the latest part of the Orbital Marketing Services Group to launch, and works in close association with our sister company BP Travel Marketing Services. The launch of TravelOwl begins an exciting period of online development and shows our commitment to the UK Travel Industry. We are proud of what we have accomplished to date and will continue to push forward with innovation and change, always keeping the needs and requirements of our clients in mind.
